Tools For Mindfulness


In this 4-session course, participants will learn and practice tools for mindfulness based in yoga and meditation. Particular emphasis is placed on cultivating self-calming skills, body-awareness, presence, self-compassion, and loving-kindness. The course is appropriate for beginners to experienced practitioners.

Candice Primm, LCSW, has attended trainings and retreats led by leading yoga teachers including Victor Dubin, Beryl Bender Birch, and Mary NurrieStearns. Steve Hoppes, Ph.D., teaches meditation at Women in Recovery and has attended trainings and retreats led by Norman Fischer, Stephen & Martine Batchelor, Sharon Salzberg, Joan Halifax, and Jon Kabat-Zinn, among others.
